Koren Specific Technique

KST involves specific yet gentle adjustments to treat subluxations and misalignment anywhere in the body.

It differs from the traditional chiropractic techniques in that it does not involve any sudden movements or noises in carrying out the adjustments. Dr. Marcy Kimpton was raised in Calgary, Alberta where she obtained her Bachelor of Science at the University of Calgary. Early on as a grade school student she decided that being a Chiropractor was her calling; Dr. Kimpton obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic in Southern California. INSiGHT™

The Insight™ is a non intrusive neuro-spinal screening and evaluation system originally designed to measure changes in the spinal muscles of astronauts. This state-of-the-art technology objectively analyzes the function of the spine and nervous system, which cannot be seen on X-ray. The Insight™ safely and accurately documents and monitors patients so that they receive the specific care necessary for improved health and nervous system function.

Spinal misalignment disturbs regular nerve function, causing an abnormal amount of electrical flow to the muscles and creating other health problems. This is called a subluxation. Often times subluxations do not create pain or discomfort until they have progressed to an advanced stage. The Insight™ helps us to identify these problems before they become symptomatic. Surface EMG

The surface EMG exam evaluates the function of the muscles that support your spine. These muscles are controlled by nerves. This test shows the pattern of how energy is distributed through these muscles. The exam helps identify areas and patterns of abnormal tension and stress. By precisely measuring muscle activity, your progress can be followed as your care progresses.

The tape, made with hypoallergenic acrylic glue, is manufactured to be the same weight, thickness and elasticity as the skin and is therefore able to integrate with the body’s sensory system naturally. GaitScan™

GaitScan™ has been specifically engineered for the assessment and diagnosis of your foot biomechanics. The TOG GaitScan™ system measures the distribution of force throughout a patient’s foot during each step, identifying high-pressure areas and gait abnormalities. The system is equipped with enough sensors and speed to accurately graph pressures exerted during the stance phase of the gait cycle during both walking and running. This new information, along with your 3D sub-talar neutral cast allows us to provide you with the most complete assessment possible for custom made orthotics.

Our Massage therapist at Motion Chiropractic uses a variety of techniques to meet your health needs.
